Concurrent Enrollment
All students participating in this program/exchange are required to concurrently enroll. For more information please see: http://ipe.washington.edu/domestic/enrollment.html
Health Screening
Since study abroad often means that students live with medical services and general health conditions that are different from those in their home country, you will be required to have a health screening and to submit a Health Screening Form with your Concurrent Enrollment Form.
Courses and Credits
Students generally earn 12-15 UW resident credits for each program. Your foreign coursework will be evaluated after you have completed the program for UW credits.
Please request that official transcripts from the Scandinavian program attended be sent to IPE at the end of the program. You will be required to submit complete course descriptions to our office upon return; after evaluation by UW departments, the UW course equivalent and grade will be reported on your UW transcript. You will also be required to write an evaluation of the program immediately after your foreign study term is completed.
Please discuss your plans with an academic counselor prior to going abroad so that you are aware of how these credits fit into your degree program (i.e. will they count toward distribution or major requirements, or as electives). You will receive further information about academic and administrative issues from our office upon acceptance.
